Invisalign’s Simple Effectiveness
Invisalign is a popular transparent aligner system that has changed how dentists straighten teeth worldwide. Instead of a traditional, fixed brace, you’ll wear a clear plastic aligner made to fit your teeth perfectly.
I use Invisalign in my treatments because I’ve seen exceptional results, and my patients love it because of its subtlety and convenience. And with the Dental Monitoring app that lets you send progress updates from home, treatment with Invisalign is now easier and faster than ever.
Although it’s comfortable to wear throughout the day and night, you can remove your aligner to make eating, drinking, and brushing your teeth easier. Ideally—as long as wear your Invisalign aligner for around 22 hours each day. Each new aligner I give you replaces the last and subtly refines and straightens your smile.
Every few weeks, I’ll provide a new aligner to wear. Each new aligner is precision-made for your teeth and designed to make the most gradual movements through the use of gentle pressure. I can monitor your progress using the Dental Monitoring smartphone app, which means you can complete treatment with fewer visits to the clinic.
Each new aligner I give you replaces the last and subtly refines and straightens your smile.
The exact number of aligners you’ll wear depends on the extent of your treatment. To address some mild cases, you’ll only need to replace the aligners a few times, while for more complex realignments, you’ll need more.
Crooked teeth
There are several causes of crooked teeth, and it’s a problem that affects most people to some degree. The gentle force of Invisalign pushes crooked teeth into a more desirable, aesthetically pleasing position.
Diastema
This is a gap between your teeth often caused by a proportionally large jaw is large compared to your teeth. Invisalign closes gaps and brings teeth closer together.
Overcrowded teeth
A proportionally small jaw can mean your teeth huddle together in your mouth. Using an aligner, I can guide your teeth to give them their own space.
Overbite
If your upper front teeth stick out over your lower front teeth, I can address this overbite with Invisalign.
Underbite
Here, the lower front teeth sit further forward than the upper teeth. This causes speech difficulties and uneven wear on your teeth. Depending on the severity, I can often treat underbite using Invisalign.
Open bite
When your upper and lower teeth don’t meet, I can move both sets into position using Invisalign so that your mouth closes correctly.
